Receiving his B.A. degree in Political Science at Marmara University, Turkey and L.LM degree in International Development Law at Universite de Nice-Sophia Antipolis, France, Erdem KOLCUOĞLU’s academic field of expertise are sustainable development and cooperation strategies for development.
After gaining experience on project management; since 2007, he has been performing as a consultant and trainer on sustainability management for long-established companies both from Turkey and abroad. He is a specialist on sustainability reporting, performance assessment and benchmarking, implementation of AA1000 Stakeholder Engagement Standards and sustainable business models. As a co-founder of Kıymet-i Harbiye, Erdem is also the vice-chairperson of the Executive Board.

Erdem Kolcuoğlu performed as observer member in Executive Board of UNGC Turkey Local Network between 2012-2014 and GRI Community Leader for Turkey and Central Asia States between 2015-2016. Since 2016, Erdem acts as an elected member of GRI Stakeholder Council which is the most senior governance body of Global Reporting Initiative responsible for providing advice to the Board. Besides being a Certified GRI Trainer, Erdem gives lectures and seminars in various universities.
